These Kids Wrote About Their Grandparents—Their Words Will Hit You Right in the Heart

Sharing is caring!

Being a grandparent is one of the best things in life. That’s why it’s so special when we hear from our grandkids—especially when they share what we mean to them. Their words can lift our hearts and remind us to keep being our best selves.

In the video below, Dr. Ken Canfield reads some essays that kids wrote about their grandparents. These sweet and funny messages will warm your heart—and probably make you smile too! Kids really do say the cutest things. 😀

GrandKids Matter

Garrett:

“Papa is the most honorable man I have ever met. True to his family and faith, he is always a pleasure to be around. To me, Papa means everything.”

Hayley:

“I hope to make many more memories with my grandma that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I hope she will continue to teach me things so that I can carry on to teach my children and grandchildren someday, as she has done for me.”

Camille:

“One day Grandpa fell asleep. My sister and I painted his toenails pink!”

That last one was just too funny! Have your grandkids ever said something sweet about you or written you a kind note? If they’re old enough, try writing a short letter to tell them how much you love them. Who knows—they might write one back! 🙂
