Your Grandkids Will Love This Galactic Ice Cream Sundae Volcano Recipe

Get ready for a fun and tasty adventure! We’re making Galactic Ice Cream Sundae Volcanoes—a dessert so cool, it feels like it came from outer space. Your grandkids will love it, and so will you!

Okay, maybe that sounds a little crazy—but making something fun together is a great way to bond. Just be sure to check with their parents first. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble over an ice cream volcano! 🙂

Ingredients

• 1 liter vanilla ice cream
• 1 liter chocolate ice cream
• 2 cups mixed berries (like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries)
• 1 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
• 3 ripe bananas, sliced
• 1 cup freeze-dried fruit (like strawberries, raspberries, or mango)
• 2 cups whipped cream
• 1 cup honey
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1/4 cup hot water
• Edible gold or silver stars, or edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

1. Take both ice creams out of the freezer and let them soften for about 5 to 10 minutes.
2. On a big tray or platter, scoop 4 large mounds of vanilla ice cream. Leave space between each one.
3. Use a spoon to make a small dip in the center of each vanilla scoop.
4. Scoop smaller mounds of chocolate ice cream and place them inside the dips. Now they look like volcanoes!
5. Around the bottom of each ice cream volcano, add fresh berries, chopped nuts, and banana slices.
6. Crush the freeze-dried fruit into little pieces. Sprinkle them on top to look like fruity lava.
7. Make chocolate lava sauce: In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder, honey, and hot water until smooth.
8. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the volcanoes so it flows down the sides.
9. Add whipped cream around the base to look like fluffy clouds.
10. For some space magic, sprinkle on the edible stars or glitter (if you’re using them).
11. Serve right away and enjoy this fun dessert with your grandkids!
