Do your grandkids love French toast? Of course they do—who doesn’t! This fun French toast recipe is a great way to make breakfast extra special. Serve it warm with whipped cream, maple syrup, or any toppings you like best. It’s so simple to make, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try it with your grandkids sooner!

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, or more as needed

Instructions

Cut each slice of bread in half two times, going corner to corner. This will give you 4 triangles from each slice (you’ll have 24 triangles in total). Set them aside for now.

In a shallow bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Stir until everything is blended well.

Melt some butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip the bread triangles into the egg mixture, making sure both sides get soaked. Cook them in the hot butter until each side turns golden brown. This takes about 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Serve the French toast warm and enjoy!

A plate of golden-brown French toast triangles is stacked neatly, topped with a swirl of whipped cream and drizzled with maple syrup. The dish sits on a wooden table with a striped blue and white napkin in the background, creating a cozy breakfast scene.
This is such an easy recipe!
