There’s nothing harder than being away from the people you love. And during the past couple of years, the pandemic made that even tougher. But sometimes, being apart just makes getting back together even more special. That’s exactly what happened for one very lucky grandmother.
Rebecca, a 57-year-old grandma from North Carolina, hadn’t seen her family in 18 months. Her daughter, Nacole, lives in Florida. During the pandemic, Nacole had a baby—but because of all the safety rules, Rebecca hadn’t met her new grandchild yet. That was about to change with a big surprise!
One day, Rebecca’s granddaughter, Tashonna, came over and acted like she was just texting in the corner of the room. But she was really recording something special. Meanwhile, Nacole called Grandma and said she was out running errands. Then suddenly, a car pulled into the driveway…
Rebecca looked outside and realized what was happening. She jumped up from the table and ran outside as fast as she could. There they were—her family! It was a surprise reunion filled with hugs, happy tears, and joy. And best of all? It was her very first time meeting her newest grandbaby.
The whole sweet moment was caught on camera—and her reaction made the wait more than worth it.
