People say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
But Margaret Wesson proves them wrong!
The video below has been watched over 10 million times—and once you see it, you’ll understand why. It’s inspired people all around the world.
In the movie The Shawshank Redemption, Andy Dufresne said, “Get busy living or get busy dying.” That quote fits perfectly here. 🙂
Margaret Wesson never liked sitting still. She was always excited to try something new. No matter how old she got, she believed life was full of adventure. And there was one big thing she had always wanted to do—go skydiving!
At 90 years old, this was a huge goal. But Margaret believed life was meant to be full of joy and excitement. On July 26, 2014, she went to Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin, Wisconsin, ready to cross skydiving off her bucket list.
Everything went just as planned. Margaret got on the plane with trained skydivers, and up they went! When the plane reached the right height, people began jumping out one by one. Finally, it was Margaret’s turn—the star of the day!
Everyone watched from below as she floated down. When she landed, there were cheers and clapping all around! Margaret had the biggest smile. “Oh, that was wonderful,” she said. “Beautiful!”
Her daughter, Barbara Wesson, runs the YouTube channel that shared this amazing moment. She shared that Margaret passed away on January 3, 2020. But her joy, courage, and spirit live on in this video, which people still love to watch.
