It’s the little things in life that matter most—but sometimes, a big surprise is just what we need!
Grandma Esther grew up in a family that didn’t have much money. They always made sure to spend wisely and only bought what they truly needed. And Esther didn’t mind. Family was what mattered most. As long as they had a roof over their heads and food on the table, she was happy.
But Esther had one big dream: she always wanted to go to Disneyland. As a little girl, she loved watching Mickey Mouse and Disney movies. Her husband went once and didn’t enjoy it, so he told her she probably wouldn’t like it either. Esther smiled and said, “How do you know I won’t like it if I’ve never been?”
After a tough year—losing a cousin and both grandfathers—the family needed something joyful. That’s when her three granddaughters, Alicia, Ocean, and Raquel, decided it was time to make Grandma Esther’s dream come true.
They planned a surprise trip to Disneyland! Grandma Esther was blindfolded for the drive. When they got to the gates, she kept her eyes closed until her granddaughters told her, “Okay, open them!”
The moment she saw where they were, her whole face lit up. At 72 years old, she finally crossed something off her bucket list—and her joy was priceless.
It was such a special moment. Just seeing her reaction made everything worth it!
