Dear Grandma,

You take your job very seriously—and I don’t blame you one bit! We’ve spent our whole lives getting ready for this role, and nobody knows how to love and spoil those grandbabies like we do. Most days, we feel pretty confident about it. But sometimes, doubts creep in, and we wonder… Am I doing enough?

Let me remind you, sweet friend—you are not failing. In fact, you’re doing a wonderful job. As long as you’re loving those grandkids with all your heart, keeping them safe, and showing up with care, then you’re doing exactly what they need. I know getting older brings more questions and self-doubt. But I’m here to encourage you. You are strong, loving, and deeply needed.

Getting older? Phew—it’s not always easy, is it? I remember thinking my own grandma was the wisest person in the world. Now I’m the grandma… and some days, I don’t feel very wise at all. But when I stop and really think about it, I realize—people do come to me for advice. And I bet they come to you, too. That’s because we are wise. We’ve lived a lot, and we have so much to share.

Sure, we may not move like we used to. But have you noticed? The second we see those little faces, we somehow have all the energy we need. We jump on trampolines, play hide-and-seek, and swing them higher and higher. It’s magic, isn’t it?

They say we shouldn’t spoil our grandkids… but honestly? A grandma’s love isn’t spoiling—it’s treasure. I’m not talking about buying every toy or saying yes to everything. I mean giving extra hugs, sneaking in late-night stories, and making their favorite dessert just because.

Let’s not compare ourselves to others on social media. All those fancy trips and fancy cars? That’s just a highlight reel. What your grandkids remember is you. Your laughter, your warm kitchen, your mac and cheese (which, by the way, is better than any restaurant!).
