Nothing is more important than family. So when a new grandchild is born, it’s one of the happiest moments ever! The feeling is hard to describe. And if we’re really lucky, we might even become great-grandparents someday!

In the video below, 65-year-old Larry Kayler Myers walks into the hospital to meet his brand-new great-grandson. He’s holding his camera, ready to save the memory forever. But before he gets to see the baby, his granddaughter Samantha Williams gives him a surprise…

It’s the baby’s birth certificate! His name is Lincoln Kayler Williams. “Kayler” was the name of Larry’s father, and it was also Larry’s middle name. After skipping a few generations, Samantha chose to honor her grandpa by passing the name down again. 🙂

Larry’s bottom lip started to shake, and tears filled his eyes. He was so touched by this sweet gift. The day was already special—but now it felt even more magical. Everyone smiled, hugged, and celebrated together.

What makes this moment even better is that Lincoln is a miracle baby. Samantha and her husband, Thomas, had been trying to have a child for six years. That’s a long time! Life doesn’t always go the way we expect, but that makes happy endings feel even more special.
